I love finding a great deal on craft supplies and think that it's only right that I share with you what I found and where. Don't you love a good haul?
I'm giving you a couple of peeks at the goodies I found this month, but the real reveal is in the video at the bottom of the post.
At the beginning of the month, there was an estate sale not far from us. It seems that there was a stained glass crafter in the house! I scored flux, patina, and a little hammer.
I also found a variety of inexpensive craft supplies for the holidays at Dollar Tree. The above picture only includes a snippet of what I brought home.
And, the video has my finds from a trip to Tuesday Morning also.
Make sure to watch my October Thrifty Haul. And, please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions for me!
How would you rate Novacan Patina WRT Liver of Sulphur? Is Novacan as hazardous as they make it out to be? I have used watered LOS without gloves and haven't had issues, it just stinks though. How does Novacan compare?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what WRT means, but I've found that the Novacan acts quicker and more consistently than the LOS that I've tried using. There's no odor with Novacan, but it is pretty nasty stuff that you definitely don't want all over the place. But, I use it without gloves most of the time. (That's on me as most gloves are way too big for me.) There are other darkening patinas (I think Jax is one) that are even more harsh and need to not get in the air or they will somehow tarnish everything in the area. The Novacan is just what I prefer as there are less steps to using it and it acts quickly. Let me know if you have any other questions.
